I have Zillow emails set up from my regular email to see how certain things look as a consumer and I just received one of the “Listing Showcase” messages. I was extremely impressed with the whole thing and it’s clearly set up to prominently display the listing agent’s information which I’m obviously a fan of.

I use Zillow’s payment system for one of my rentals, it’s easy and free for the one property. The downside is it takes a few extra days for the payment to hit my account. I’ve also used Zelle, which is nice and immediate deposit, but many banks have daily limits on the amount that can be sent, some around $1000 so it could mean rent paid ...

Why is Zillow estimate significantly lower than the “real” price?
Feb 5, 2023 · Zillow uses a failed market value algorithm, this is evidenced by their failure as a company and their enormous loses on their flip portfolio. Apparently their model was pretty accurate. Their losses came from the fact that they needed to sweeten all of their deals to actually convince people to sell.

Jun 16, 2023 · Zillow is pretty solid and I believe the most robust public-facing real estate software. Imo it ranks MLS > Zillow > Realtor > Redfin. MLS is what realtors use and it is a tool that’s basically exclusive to them. The others get their data from MLS but not all MLS data is available on them.

Brokerages who also offer Search Portals Overtime Search Portals have taken the route to become brokerages like Redfin and Open-door and use Search features to lure you into there offerings.

Sep 16, 2021 · Zillow is efficient in creating mid/bottom of funnel leads. My Agents have a 5.2% close rate or 1/20 zillow leads become a closed transaction. It's worth it in my market. The one thing to keep in mind with zillow is that every zipcode is priced differently. Don't trust the salesperson on the other side of the phone or zillows ROI tool.

May 13, 2023 · I especially like, from the tenant's perspective, Zillow's charging only $29 for unlimited applications and including a background check. That seems like a very fair price to me. My only real criticism of Zillow is that their online payment collection system can't support dividing the rent up amongst multiple housemates.
