Modern Citadel plastic kits are packed with details, extras, and add-on bits, including some very small pieces. The Citadel Tools design team had these fine details in mind when they redesigned the beloved cutters used by so many Warhammer hobbyists.

Apr 25, 2019 · Yes, they're still overpriced, as are all Citadel tools, but they do cut noticeably easier, and thanks to some quirk of how they are engineered they don't cause the bits to 'fly' off quite as much as generic ones do.

Dec 8, 2022 · They are serviceable clippers, the grip is comfortable, the cutters cut ok and they will do what you need them to do. They compare with the Army painter or Xuron clippers that are pretty popular but at twice the cost.

Oct 15, 2022 · I bought the GW clippers when I got into the hobby a year ago, and only used them once after I found a pair of old $5 wire cutters that were way more precise. I swear, GW makes these products exclusively for new and young customers that don't know any better, and it sets the stage early in your hobbying career to not trust GW.

2022 Refreshed Citadel Tools – Summary. Much like the new Painting handle, the 2022 refresh of Citadel’s Tool choice represents an overt cheapening of their Hobby Tool range with only a slight improvement to function – see there is some positive improvement here.
