Manchester Airport reopens runways after a temporary closure this morning, but warns passengers that they "may still experience delays".

The UK continues to face weather warnings following a night of heavy snowfall. It comes after an amber weather warning was issued across the Midlands with disruption from snow and freezing rain expected over the weekend.

The Met Office has extended its weather warnings for snow across York and North Yorkshire. Heavy snow has hit the region following an amber weather alert for snow and ice. The warning, which was set to last until midnight today,
