At Home, a furniture and home decor retailer based in Coppell, Texas, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday, June 16 as a result of "broader economic and retail-specific market pressures," court documents reveal. As a result, 26 stores, from California to New York, will close by Sept. 30.

At Home, the home decor and furniture retailer with more than 200 locations in the United States, is filing for bankruptcy. The popular retail chain announced Monday that it is entering Chapter 11 protection as part of a restructuring agreement intended to eliminate $2 billion in debt and provide $200 million in capital to aid with the restructuring process.

The chain reportedly missed a key critical interest payment in May and has until June 30 to decide on bankruptcy.
