Novak Djokovic fell in the final round of the Miami Open to 19-year-old Jakub Mensik in straight sets, 7-6, 7-6, on Sunday. Mensik, playing in his first final, earned his spot after defeating No. 3 seed Taylor Fritz in the semifinals and became the second-youngest champion in tournament history, per ATP Tour.

The 19-year-old Czech claimed his first ATP title at the Miami Open as he denied the former number one his bid for a milestone 100th.

Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus earned her first Miami Open championship by defeating American and No. 4 Jessica Pegula 7-5, 6-2 to become the sixth player to win Miami as the reigning No. 1. Former great Serena Williams did it four times.

Though Pegula has made three Miami Open semifinals in four years, she has never gotten this far. Now she goes for her fourth WTA 1000 (point) title.

Aryna Sabalenka reached her hand out for raindrops under an uncertain sky before taking the court for the Miami Open final, but proved to be the source of another storm in a straight-sets victory over Jessica Pegula.
