The National Weather Service is asking folks to take proper cold weather precautions and protect the four P’s: People, pets, pipes and plants.

Fort Worth is preparing for potential winter weather at the start of next week, with the city about to start treating streets with brine.

While not an official term in any dictionary, the phrase has been repeated by many during the annual 23-day event. A combination of frigid temperatures during Fort Worth’s winter season and the stock show’s mid-January to early February window, means that most Stock Show events are particularly chilly.
