For the last few seasons, Dante Fabbro has been subjected to trade rumors. Many people around the NHL believed the former Nashville Predators defenseman was a prime trade candidate. As expected, Fabbro’s tenure in Nashville has come to an end.

The Blue Jackets claimed veteran defenseman Dante Fabbro off waivers from the Nashville Predators, adding a former first-round pick (No. 17 overall in 2016) who has dressed in 315 games for the Predators since late in the 2018-19 season.

Until Sunday, Nashville was the only NHL organization Dante Fabbro had known. Chosen by the Predators in the first round (No. 17 overall) of the 2016 draft, Fabbro made his debut with the team in 2019 and played more than 300 games over seven seasons.

Yesterday, the Columbus Blue Jackets claimed Dante Fabbro off waivers from the Nashville Predators. Fabbro appeared in five games with the Predators and registered zero points. Unfortunately, the once promising blue-liner time has come to an end with the team that drafted him back in the 2016 NHL Draft.
