The Dallas Stars announced Thursday they agreed to terms with forward Oskar Back to a two-year, $1.65 million contract extension that will keep Back with the club through the 2026-27 season.

The Ottawa Senators visit the Dallas Stars on Thursday night to in both teams’ first game of the new year. The Stars ended a bumpy, up-and-down December with two convincing wins over the Blackhawks and Sabres, and will look to continue that momentum on home ice against Ottawa.
