The arrival of Utah Hockey Club has given a boost to youth hockey programs in the state — both in terms of enthusiasm for the sport, and support from the NHL.

In his first NHL game in nearly two years, Jaxson Stauber held the powerhouse Vegas Golden Knights off the score sheet in their own barn, earning the first shutout in Utah HC history. Stauber hung around the team until Ingram returned, relieving Vejmelka in back-to-back situations. He earned a record of 2-1-1 and he never looked out of place.

The NHL unveiled its quarter-century teams this past week, and Utah HC’s selections were as fresh as it gets. Since the franchise has been in the league for less than a year, the names on these lists are all recent additions.
