Taylor Swift finally owns her music catalog, six years after a bitter battle with Scooter Braun. Before purchasing her masters, Swift had been re-recording her albums to take ownership of her material.

The master recordings to the pop superstar’s earliest work were sold to Scooter Braun in 2019, and acquired a year later by the investing firm Shamrock Capital.
