Police say the deceased are the two people involved in the shooting, but did offer any information on what led to the shooting.

Several departments battled fires at two buildings next to each other in Sault Ste. Marie. The call came in around 6pm Wednesday. According to witnesses, a building housing five apartments on the corner of Helen St. and Leroy St. caught fire first, then caught the house next door on fire.
