Michigan’s football program has dipped into the transfer portal to land a new long snapper for 2025. UCLA’s Trent Middleton announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Thursday in a social media post. “Beyond blessed to say I have committed to the University of Michigan,” he wrote accompanied by a graphic of him in a Wolverines uniform.

Michigan has had William Wagner for a few years now as a long snapper and he was one of the best in the country. But Wagner is now off chasing his NFL dreams and the Wolverines were left wondering who was going to step up in his role.

Michigan football has had a ton of success traversing the transfer portal this cycle, but it perhaps doesn't feel like it to fans of the maize and blue, given that they've struck out on some of their top targets.

Michigan has added to its special teams through the transfer portal with the commitment of long-snapper Trent Middleton.
