At the NFL’s annual meetings Monday, general manager Joe Schoen sounded content with signing Wilson and Jameis Winston. With Stafford re-signing with the Rams and Rodgers still deciding on his options, Schoen pivoted to Wilson after the two sides met on March 14.

Shortly after Winston signed his two-year/$8 million-dollar deal, the Giants signed another signal-caller, veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, to a one-year/$10.5 million dollar guaranteed deal. The Giants have the No. 3 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and they could use their first-round selection on another quarterback.
In his latest “all trades” mock draft, ESPN’s Bill Barnwell proposes that if that happens, the Giants should trade down with the Carolina Panthers to the No. 8 overall pick. In addition to the eighth pick, the Giants would also receive a second-round pick this year (No. 57) as well as a second-rounder next year.
