A 30-year-old Irondale man who led police on a wild police chase through Birmingham that involved multiple wrecks, and the theft of a motorist’s car, has been charged in a Calera store robbery.

Damien McDaniel, 22, is accused of killing 14 people in the Birmingham, Alabama, area, including firefighter Jordan Melton, who died after a gunman targeted him at work in July 2023.

Perrion Jerimairya Savage, 18, is charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, said police Lt. David Wise.
