VfB Stuttgart booked a spot in the German Cup final after a 3-1 home win against RB Leipzig on Wednesday evening. In the final in Berlin on May 24, Stuttgart will face Arminia Bielefeld, who on Tuesday stunned title holders Bayer Leverkusen in a 2-1 win.

VfB Stuttgart battled past RB Leipzig 3-1 on Wednesday to reach the German Cup final for the first time in 12 years and pile more misery on their crisis-hit opponents.

Stuttgart, which last won the title in 1997 and will play the final against third-tier club Arminia Bielefeld, pressed high and was more efficient with its chances throughout.
