OAKLAND — Thirteen people, including one child, were displaced after a two-alarm fire destroyed four units in a multistory-building on the 2300 block of East 17th Street in East Oakland.

Firefighters have brought a fire in Oakland that displaced 12 adults and one child Sunday under control, the fire department said on social media. About 40 firefighters battled the residential fire, which originated at 2352 E 17th St.

The latest results released on Friday afternoon by the Alameda County Elections Office showed Mayor Sheng Thao will likely be the first mayor to be recalled in Oakland.
