It's a new day in NXT as both Oba Femi & Giulia captured the brand's ultimate prizes Tuesday night at New Year's Evil.

In the opening match of NXT New Year’s Evil in Los Angeles, Giulia kicked off the new year by defeating Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s title. This ends Perez’s 274 day reign with the title after defeating Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand and Deliver last April.

Giulia won the NXT Women's Championship at NXT New Year's Evil, defeating Roxanne Perez in the opening contest The finish saw Giulia kick out of Pop Rox and then counter her way out of an armbar by rolling through. Giulia followed up with a knee strike and a northern lights bomb to pin Perez.

Oba Femi has won the gold. At WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, Trick Williams defended the NXT Championship against Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe. Before the match, Thorpe was attacked backstage. He did not enter alongside Williams and Femi,

Trick Williams says he’ll see Oba Femi again in the future. Oba Femi beat Trick Williams to win the NXT Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil. In doing so, he ended Williams’ second run with the title.
