Nina Dobrev shared a video of herself cutting her own bangs on Instagram — taking charge of her now-signature hairstyle. The actress has had bangs multiple times in recent years, and has shared insight on styling and managing them.

While she did most of the work on her own, Dobrev had some assistance while cutting her strands. Someone grabbed a chunk of her mane and held it out for the actress to snip at. At the end of the clip, Dobrev fluffed up her bangs, showing how perfect the final product was.

On February 20, The Vampire Diarie s actress took to Instagram and showed her taking matters into her own hands while in the hair and makeup trailer. Dressed in a purple salon cape, Dobrev expertly held a pair of shears and cut her own bangs like a true professional, taking tiny snips at the front and sides of her bangs.

However, the same can't be said for Nina Dobrev. Over on Instagram, the actor shared a video reel cutting her own hair on set with a caption that reads: "in case you were wondering how we dooooooo it ✂️😂.
