Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland is in El Salvador to call for the release of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia.

The Supreme Court says the Trump administration must work to bring back a Maryland man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador, rejecting the administration’s emergency appeal.

The U.S. State Department announced in an April 12 court filing that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is ‘alive and secure’ in an El Salvador prison — or ‘Terrorism Confinement Center’ — after the U.S. resident was mistakenly deported from Maryland in March.
