An Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed a member of Hezbollah and Iran’s Quds Force on Tuesday, security officials said, raising fears that the cease-fire in Lebanon may fall through.

An Israeli airstrike on Tuesday killed four people in Beirut’s southern suburbs, including a Hezbollah official. The Israeli military identified the deceased official, Hassan Bdeir, as both a member of Hezbollah’s military wing and Iran’s Quds Force.

Beirut’s southern suburbs were rocked by an overnight Israeli airstrike that killed at least four people, according to Lebanon’s health ministry. Israel says the strike was targeting a Hezbollah militant with links to Hamas,

Israel’s army said it hit a Hezbollah drone storage facility in Dahiyeh, which it called a militant stronghold.

Israel delayed a promised troop withdrawal in January and has continued to occupy several hilltops in south Lebanon. It has also carried out near-daily attacks on the country, claiming it was striking Hezbollah fighters and weapons.

A Hezbollah official was among four people killed Tuesday in an Israeli strike on south Beirut, Israel and a Hezbollah source said, the second such raid during a fragile four-month ceasefire.

At least three people were killed and seven injured in Israeli airstrikes in Beirut’s suburbs. Israel said the strike targeted a Hezbollah member.

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, meanwhile, report finding it harder to find food amid bakery closures. Israel says enough food entered Gaza during a six-week ceasefire with Hamas to sustain the territory’s roughly 2 million Palestinians for “a long period of time.”
