Indian captain Rohit Sharma on Wednesday played down speculations about his future in international cricket, saying it is irrelevant to talk about his career at a time when he is "focussed" on the three ODIs against England and the Champions Trophy.

Rohit said that the selection certainly put Varun Chakaravarthy in contention for Champions Trophy team, but it would depend entirely on his performance.

Varun Chakravarthy has been added to India's ODI squad for the three-match series against Jos Buttler's England ahead of Champions Trophy 2025.
