The Detroit Lions opened their 2025 NFL Draft by selecting Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams with the No. 28 overall selection.

Since general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell were hired in 2021, seven UDFAs have made Detroit's Week 1 roster, including at least one each year. In 2024, it was long snapper Hogan Hatten, safety Loren Strickland and wide receiver Isaiah Williams.
