Worlds Collide 2025 kicked off WWE's partnership with AAA properly as El Hijo del Vikingo bested Chad Gable for the AAA Mega Championship in a thrilling affair.

It was a profile-raising performance from both men, but there’s some concern Vikingo may have suffered an injury during the closing stretch just as WWE is making him the face of AAA.

Vikingo defeated Chad Gable in the main event of WWE x AAA Worlds Collide to retain the AAA Mega Championship. The finish saw Vikingo hit the 630 splash for the win. Highlights included a springboard destroyer on the apron, a diving poisonrana, a moonsault to the outside and through a table, and more.
