A 52-year-old man and his dog have been stabbed to death in their own basement after an alleged intruder broke into their home, police said.

A Kenosha man and his dog were found dead at a home hours after the Kenosha Police Department investigated a possible break-in there.

The 52-year-old victim will not be identified at this time out of consideration for the family, authorities stated.
