Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, Ione Skye and Selton Mello round out the cast of Sony Pictures' new reimagined "Anaconda" movie, according to an insider with knowledge of the project. The comedy stars Paul Rudd and Jack Black based on the action horror film series.

The reimagining of Anaconda has added Thandiwe Newton and Steve Zahn to the cast. The original Anaconda movie was released in 1997 and starred Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, and Owen Wilson. The film spawned a franchise that includes three sequels - 2004's Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid,

Selton Mello, who appears in Brazilian awards season hopeful 'I’m Still Here,' and Ione Sky have also joined the Columbia feature.
