Florida football got a much-needed victory on the road at Mississippi State in Week 4. The offense was clicking on all cylinders as head coach Billy Napier made use of both Graham Mertz and DJ Lagway at the quarterback spot.

Napier, widely-presumed to be on the SEC's hottest seat this fall outside of Sam Pittman at Arkansas, is signed through the 2028 season on a deal he first inked in December 2021 worth $51.8 million

Florida picked itself up off the mat and secured a road win at Mississippi State over the weekend, at least temporarily taking some of the heat off embattled coach Billy Napier. But has the situation overall changed?

Florida’s ball security has generally been good under Napier. The Gators ranked in the top 25 in fewest turnovers in both of Napier’s first two seasons. His worst season (14 turnovers in 2022) matched the best by his predecessor, Dan Mullen. But only 14 teams have lost more turnovers this season than UF (six).
