Kyiv is reinforcing its troops involved in fighting in Russia's Kursk region, where Moscow's forces have been regaining ground, Ukrainian commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrsky said Monday.
Ukraine’s presence in Russia’s Kursk region has deteriorated sharply, with the Russian advance threatening Kyiv’s sole territorial bargaining counter at a crucial time in the war.
"The blowing up of an important Russian energy facility by Ukrainian army units retreating from the Kursk region is a deliberate provocation by the Kyiv regime," the ministry said in a statement.
