Roy Williams stepped down from UNC following the 2021 season, Coach K stepped down from Duke following the 2022 season, Tony Bennett shockingly retired from Virginia before the season, and Jim Larranaga stepped down from Miami during the winter break.

Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton announced Monday that will he will resign as Seminoles coach at the end of this season. Hamilton, 76, is in his 23rd season at Florida State and 37th overall as a head coach.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Longtime Florida State basketball coach Leonard Hamilton is stepping down at the end of the season. Hamilton, who is being sued by six former players over allegations he failed to deliver on name, image and likeness promises, announced his decision Monday following a team meeting.

The 76-year-old Hamilton is the third Division I head coach to step down this season – all of them in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Virginia's Tony Bennett stepped down just before the season began, and Miami's Jim Larrañaga left the program in late December.
