ESPN’s Mel Kiper has released his first 2025 NFL mock draft ( subscription required) and it’s a dream scenario for the Denver Broncos.

Continuing on with our Colts’ 2025 offseason preview, here is a look ahead at the state of the running back position.

As the No. 7 seed in the AFC playoffs, there aren't many expectations for Nix and the Broncos to get past Josh Allen and the No. 2 seed Bills, but with as good as Denver's defense has been this year, there's always a chance.

The Denver Broncos ended their eight-year playoff drought in 2024 behind rookie quarterback Bo Nix, the sixth QB selected in last April's NFL draft.

Elsewhere on the ex-Denver player front, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed defensive lineman Adam Gotsis to a reserve/future contract. Gotsis (6-4, 290 pounds) was picked by the Broncos in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft. He spent the first four years of his career in Denver before stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts.

According to a report from NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Colts are expected to hire former Cincinnati Bengals coordinator Lou Anarumo as their next defensive coordinator. Anarumo was one of the top targets on the market for the position, and Indianapolis is narrowing in on making it happen.

Carlies suffered fibula and shoulder injuries that limited his rookie campaign to 10 games (six starts), but the former Missouri Tigers safety still made waves with 36 tackles (two for loss), as well as a fantastic coverage grade from PFF of 83.1 (fourth among NFL linebackers).

The Indianapolis Colts acquired linebacker Grant Stuard and a seventh-round pick for a sixth-round pick just days before the start of the 2022 NFL season. In Stuard's three seasons with the team, he has been a consistent special teams ace on all four units.
