FAYETTEVILLE — John Calipari was apologetic following his first SEC win as Arkansas’ basketball coach Wednesday. The Razorbacks’ 68-65 victory over Georgia at Bud Walton Arena snapped a five-game losing streak that began Jan. 4 at Tennessee. The 0-5 start to conference play was Arkansas’ worst since joining the SEC in 1991-92.

The Arkansas men’s basketball team finally picked up their first SEC win of the season on Wednesday night after taking down Georgia 68-65 in Bud Walton Arena. Adou Theiro led the team with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

At long last, Arkansas' nightmare ended on Wednesday night as the Razorbacks squeaked out a 68-65 victory over Georgia. It wasn't pretty, but it marked the first SEC victory of coach John Calipari's debut campaign with the program.

After seven days of rest, Oklahoma will battle a team whose start mirrors the Sooners. OU faces Arkansas on Saturday after having a conference bye earlier in the week. Both the Sooners and Razorbacks picked up their first SEC wins in their last games.
