An Atlanta woman has been convicted of defrauding FEMA and a Georgia-based litigation funding company in schemes tied to Hurricane Maria relief efforts, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Georgia.
She was awarded a nearly $156 million contract to give "self-heating meals to the residents of Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria."
