A major mishap was averted by the timely discovery of 10 detonators on railway tracks in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, September 22. According to the officials, it was an attempt to blow up the train carrying Indian Army personnel in Madhya Pradesh's Burhanpur district.

In a statement, a railway official said the JTTN goods train was en route from Kanpur to Prayagraj via the loop line at Prempur Station when the loco pilot noticed the cylinder just before reaching the signal.

This comes a day after fish plates were removed from the railway tracks in Gujarat. In the latest incident, a gas cylinder was found on the railway track in Uttar Pradesh.
