A school-aged child in Texas who was recently diagnosed with measles has passed away amid a growing outbreak in the state.

The French interior ministry said on Tuesday that it would propose a ban on Legion X, a fan group for second-tier football club Paris FC, due to it being involved with serious violence for years.

A second child has died in Texas after contracting measles, The New York Times first reported Sunday—the second confirmed death from the disease in a decade—as more than 600 measles cases have now been confirmed in 20 states, with much of the outbreak centered in northwest Texas.

The child is the third person to die from measles in the U.S. this year. Prior to 2025, no one in the U.S. had died from measles since 2015.

Ahead of a “Make America Healthy Again” tour across the southwestern U.S., Kennedy said in a social media post that he was in Gaines County to comfort the families who have buried two young children.

A second child infected with measles has died as an outbreak of the disease surges in West Texas. The 8-year-old girl died Thursday of "measles pulmonary failure" at a Lubbock hospital, as reported by The New York Times on Sunday. Another girl, 6, from the West Texas region died in February after contracting the disease.
