A police officer was shot by a man, who police say fled a traffic stop, in North Philadelphia. Police said the man then took his own life. The incident started around 9 p.m. Tuesday when two officers attempted to pull the man over near 22nd Street and Lehigh Avenue in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

A man had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting at Philadelphia Police officers and fleeing from a traffic stop in North Philadelphia. Philadelphia police say 39th District officers were conducting a traffic stop in the area of 23rd St.
