In Colorado, four localities will raise the minimum wage, with Denver hitting $18.81/hour. Washington State will see seven localities increase minimum wage—with Tukwila, Washington, reaching the highest in the country at $21.10/hour in 2025. Boulder County is set to reach $25 an hour by 2030.

As of 2024, Florida's minimum wage is $13 an hour for non-tipped workers and $9.98 for tipped workers. But for 2025, hourly workers will see a $1 increase in wages, bringing the minimum wage to $14 an hour for non-tipped workers and $10.98 for tipped workers.

MAINE (WABI) - Starting Wednesday, Mainers making minimum wage will be getting a raise. The increase will bump employee pay from $14.15 an hour to $14.65 an hour. The new tip wage will be going up to $7.33 an hour. This is part of the scheduled yearly bump in minimum wage which has increased every year in the state since 2017.

Colorado’s minimum wage rises annually based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). This year's increase comes to 2.7 percent or about $811 more annually for a full-time worker and means Colorado’s wage is now more than double the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.

Several new laws will go into effect in Virginia starting Wednesday. Virginia’s minimum wage increases from $12 to $12.41 per hour in the new year. Lawmakers in 2020, under Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam, passed legislation that progressively raised Virginia’s minimum wage from $7.50 per hour in 2021 to $12 in 2023.
