Medical students are experiencing some of the highest rates of depression compared to all other majors. Many people remember their college days with fond memories as they underwent classes to become knowledgeable in the fields they ended up working in.

Depression rates are more than three times higher among sexual and gender minority (SGM) university and college students compared with non-SGM students, according to a study published online Nov. 13 in the Journal of American College Health.
