TROY, MI -- Police say there is no active threat to the community following a shooting that took place Thursday morning at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. Initial reports suggested an active shooter situation was unfolding at the hospital, but police now say the alleged attack was a “targeted incident.”

An employee at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital was shot by another employee Thursday morning inside a parking garage, police say. The suspect was taken into custody in Macomb Township and the victim is reportedly stable.
