Wegmans semi-sweet chocolate nonpareils because they contain an “undeclared milk allergen,” the U.S. Food & Drug Administration announced on Monday. The agency said that the recalled products were distributed to Wegmans retail stores in Washington,

The Wegmans brand Semi–Sweet Chocolate Nonpareils were sold in the Rochester-based chain’s grocery stores in eight states — Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia — and Washington D.C. Nonpareils are a flat, rounded candy made of chocolate and covered with white sugar sprinkles.

The makers of Wegmans Semi-Sweet Chocolate Nonpareils recalled the product because it contains an allergen not listed on its packaging.
