April Fools' Day is celebrated worldwide, and many countries have their own unique pranks and jokes. In France, paper fish are often put on someone's back as a joke because the fish are said to be young and, therefore, easily caught. The prank is called the "April Fish," and those who get the fish placed on their backs are seen as gullible.

April Fools' Day is not recognized as a holiday in any country except for Odessa, Ukraine, where April 1 is an official city holiday. It is not a federal holiday in the U.S., although the tradition of playing pranks and jokes still goes on.

From a drone that delivers donuts, a tuxedo and flip flop dress code, or one Ozarks First anchor joking about leaving the station, companies across the area had fun with April Fool’s Day 2025. Here’s a few of the jokes that Springfield-area businesses and agencies posted on their Facebook pages.
