The National Transportation Safety Board says it has recovered a cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder from the American Airlines plane that collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport late Wednesday.

PMBlack Hawk black box recovered: NTSBThe Black Hawk's black box -- a combined cockpit voice recorder and digital flight data recorder -- has been recovered in good condition, NTSB member Todd Inman said during a briefing.

NTSB officials say recorders from both aircraft have been recovered in good condition as the investigation into the crash continues.
