Almost a year after Rooster Teeth, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Streaming & Interactive Entertainment, announced it was ceasing operations after 21 years, the digital content brand is staging a comeback.

Rooster Teeth, the iconic digital entertainment brand, has found a new home with its original creator, Burnie Burns.

Rooster Teeth, the online media brand famous for shows like Red vs. Blue, RWBY, and various podcasts, is back--with original co-founder Burnie Burns at the helm.

Burnie Burns has purchased Rooster Teeth’s remaining assets just under a year after it was announced they were shutting down.

Production company Rooster Teeth is making a big return, following its initial closure in May 2024. The news came after it was revealed that the Rooster Teeth brand had been bought by Burnie Burns, one of the company's initial founders.

Rooster Teeth was founded in 2003, the same year it launched Red vs. Blue, a machinima-styled show that used Halo: Combat Evolved to tell a story of two groups of isolated, opposing armies dropped into a barren canyon. The show quickly became a hit, thanks to its parody of both wartime narratives and military video games.

The brand and the bulk of its remaining assets have been acquired by co-founder Burnie Burns through his company, Box Canyon Productions.
