The list of automakers with access Tesla's Supercharger EV charging network continues to grow as time goes on.

Kia has pushed the date back for offering access to Tesla’s Superchargers, saying such access now is planned for the first quarter of 2025.

Electric Benz drivers in the US can use the chargers from February, but although the company will switch to NACS ports on new cars, existing owners need a $185 adapter

Kia EV owners are gaining access to more than 16,500 Tesla chargers by the end of the first quarter of the year.

PCMag reports that Kia electric vehicles were supposed to have Supercharger access starting on January 15, 2025, though this will not be the case. Owners of the automaker’s generally excellent EVs will have to wait a little longer before they can tap into the Tesla network, allegedly until the spring of 2025.

The Kia EV6 and EV9 were supposed to get Tesla Supercharger access this week. That isn't happening, with the rollout pushed to sometime in the first quarter of 2025. Kia is also preparing to launch updated versions of its EV6 and EV9 SUVs,

Kia's timeline for Tesla Supercharger access has been pushed back from Jan. 15 to spring 2025. "A delay has occurred and we are working with the appropriate teams to confirm new availability/date," James Bell, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Kia, tells PCMag via email.
