The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet security agency on Sunday confirmed that the body of Hamas leader Muhammad Sinwar was found inside a tunn.

The Israeli military recovered the body of de facto Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar in a tunnel underneath the European Hospital in southern Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Sunday.
The countries have been trading blows a day after Israel’s blistering attack on Iranian nuclear and military sites.
Following the elimination of Hamas's Gaza chief, Muhammad Sinwar, the Islamist group will have to choose a new leader to head the organization in the territory. However, Israel's eliminations of Hamas leaders will make it difficult to find a suitable successor.
