Mounted beside the lower left-hand side of the iPhone’s display, the Camera Button can trigger several features, including opening the camera app and taking a picture, starting to record video, toggling camera features, and select a zoom level.

Some minor camera improvements are part of the usual iPhone refresh. However, this year Apple took things a step further by adding a dedicated camera button and a new camera capab

The iPhone 15 Pro already supports spatial video capture, but not photos. The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro can do both. The camera orientation now puts both cameras on the same plane, meaning they're evenly spaced for landscape shots. (Much like the iPhone 15 Pro, spatial photos and videos can't be recorded vertically.)
