The Vegas Golden Knights opened their first-round Western Conference playoffs series on Sunday with a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild as Brett Howden scored two goals. Game 2 is Tuesday night.

The Wild’s top line clicked twice with Matt Boldy scoring a pair and Kirill Kaprizov collecting assists on both those markers. Minnesota’s top line remains an asset to the Wild and a problem for opponents. The Wild were disciplined in their approach were able to generate chances.

Vegas was the least-penalized team in NHL history during the regular season, and that trend continue Sunday night in a 4-2 victory over Minnesota.
