A bar and grill caught fire at the corner of N. Grand Avenue W and MacArthur Boulevard on Wednesday morning. A sedan caused the fire when it crashed into the building. The car had knocked down a traffic light before colliding into MVPs Bar & Grill around 4:30 a.m., Springfield Fire Chief Ed Canny said.

Springfield police have arrested a man in connection with a Christmas Day homicide. Police were called to a home in the 2300 block of North Park Avenue at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday to check on reports of a person who was possibly dead.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man was stabbed to death in East Memphis during the early hours of Christmas Day, police said. Memphis Police (MPD) said officers responded just after 2 a.m. Wednesday to a "man down" call on East Mallory Avenue off Robin Hood Lane and found a man suffering from stab wounds.
