The “Uncut Gems” filmmakers are set to executive produce Peacock series “Superfakes,” which centers on a small-time Chinatown luxury-counterfeit dealer who enters a dangerous black market underworld in order to fund a life of suburban respectability for her family.
Peacock Orders Crime Drama From ‘Beef’ Writer, Josh & Benny Safdie, A24
The series hails from creator Alice Ju, who will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. In addition, Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie will serve as executive producers along with Howard Klein and Olivia Gerke of 3 Arts. Ronald Bronstein and Eli Bush also executive produce. A24 and UCP will produce.
