Five people have been charged in connection with the death of One Direction singer Liam Payne in Argentina, the authorities there say. The 31-year-old star died on 16 October after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires.

Payne's travel companion Rogelio “Roger” Nores is among those charged as well as three CasaSur Palermo Hotel employees.

The judge ordered preventive prison for two people for having supplied Payne with drugs before he fell to his death.
