CANTON, Ohio — St. Ignatius junior swimmer Jude Banks knew he just had to get to the wall at the C.T. Branin Natatorium on Saturday night if he wanted to be a state champion in the OHSAA Division I boys state swimming championships.

Shaker Heights sophomore Louisa Holda was the top finisher for Northeast Ohio swimmers, taking home sixth in the 100 breaststroke. “I was just trying to make that A final, and then I did,” Holda said. “I just wanted to have fun, because my nerves have killed me a lot.”
