A man is found dead at a home in East Nashville after a SWAT response.Metro Nashville Police say a man with two outstanding felony warrants in the home on North 7th Street shot an a East Precinct officer.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is outside the home of a man who allegedly shot at an officer on Saturday at about 2:30 a.m. during a chase on foot. The officer did not return fire and was not injured, police said.

SWAT team assistance was requested at the scene of a reported shooting near the Historic Edgefield neighborhood of Nashville on Saturday morning.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department surrounded Parkway Terrace and North 7th Street on Saturday morning for a male subject in one of the homes. Officers and SWAT team members are on the scene.
